the story
2 photographer friends
Alexis Limousin and Arthur Belebeau met at the very beginning of their career, on the sets of Daylight where they started and rubbed shoulders with the Testino, Mondino, Bensimon and other big names of that fantastic era. A level of talent and quality which greatly inspired the 2 friends. 30 years later, after a career in Paris for Alexis and another in New York for Arthur, punctuated by a few photo trips together, they find themselves in Paris again and decide to team up.
the ideal space
Jacques Limousin, Alexis’s father and a reknown sculpteur, has been part of Les Frigos for 30 years. In 2019, he offers his son to share his workshop; the timing could not have been more perfect as Arthur has just returned from 25 years living in New York and touring the world with his family. Just in time to embark on the adventure.
dream to reality
The 2 friends set about redoing the space from floor to ceiling, using the carpentry skills of Alexis’ brother, Basile. 1000 pounds of plaster, sweat, and a few liters of rosé later, the studio is ready. That's when Juliette Merck joined the team to create the identity and expend the possibiliities for this beautiful space.
